Have you watched that funny rom com from a few year back, where that chick is the bridesmaid to 27 of her friends?
Better known as ‘27 dresses’!
It’s one of my favourite movie because the actress, ‘Katherine Heigl’ (Jane) just seems to know how to not take herself too seriously and when she’s having fun- I really believe/feel like she’s having a blast! If you haven’t seen it, BYO Allen’s Chico’s and maybe a homemade mango ice block (Ellie) and check it out!
Apart from the awesome karaoke scene where Jane and co star ‘James Marsden’ (Kevin) do their own rendition of ‘Bennie and the jetts’… which has now officially been added to my Spotify ‘fav song’ playlist, there’s another Hollywood one line moment.
It’s where Jane, a hopeless romantic, tells us her favourite part of any wedding ceremony. It’s when the bride is walking down the isle and instead of looking at her- she stares non-judgementally at the groom to be- who is hopefully smiling or crying or both with JOY!
Why am I telling you all about this cheesy American rom com you may be wondering? 🤔
Well, I had/have my own 27 dresses moment.
It’s on the beach.
It’s right after you’ve been for a beautiful swim and play in the waves (mini waves only in Mornington). You walk to your towel and you lie straight down on it! No drying the water off, or fixing anything, leave your sunnies off. You just let your whole body sink into the sand knowing it’s totally got your back. Close your eyes, take a natural big breathe ….. and just for a moment and hopefully more- let yourself JUST BE!
I am so confident of the next thing that will happen…
You will be smiling from ear to ear… peace will have taken over, even if it’s just for a brief moment- it will happen!
And trust me the feeling, well…
It’s simply BLISSful!
