To see how much you really want something?
To test if you’re willing to go all the way with something?
Well, I went along to this Camino meet up group about 6 months ago just after I booked my tickets. A fellow pilgrim who has walked the Camino said to me “Once you buy your ticket Laura- your Camino begins”….. dant dant danttttt (you know the sound I’m trying to make)!
I nervously laughed, politely changed the subject and I haven’t been back to one of those meet ups since. Ha.
However, since I have booked my tickets the truth is- I’ve had a lot of physical challenges crop up!
A wild tooth procedure that ate up a lot of money and stress, a medical procedure, shin splints that were being treated yesterday morning before I flew out, some emotional baggage that came up LOUDLY and was ready to be cleared and… a blister! I’ve not EVER had a blister in all the time I’ve been walking (33 years) and when I got off my flight in Madrid this morning I could barely walk- this blister had set up home in the middle of my right foot! WTF?!
Please, Please, Please don’t get me wrong- this is not a whingy piece of writing- this is a bit of an affirmation to myself, you and the cheeky universe- THAT IM IN!!!
Regardless of the physical, emotional stuff that has come up- I AM IN!!!!
If there’s a will there’s a way!
So I’ll keep following my nose, eating incredible pizza, enjoying the gorgeousness of this beautiful country Spain and keep walking BLISSTERFULLY (minus the TER) one step at a time!
